Jan Merino Visserstrui

The Jan Merino Visserstrui is a bold cable-knit pullover with standing collar and smooth zipper. This statement pullover is made for 60% of wool from Dutch sheep, 20% Merino wool and 20% Dutch alpaca wool (for added softness). The cable is typical of the fishing village of Katwijk. In the olden days the pattern of his pullover would tell you where the fisherman hailed from. Knit in Lichtenvoorde.

What to expect

Comfy warm, hard-wear pullover but with the slim fit that is Joe’s trademark. This pullover does not itch but is not as soft than our regular pullovers. Perfectly paired with a Joe Shirt Roundneck or a Joe Woven Shirt. Your reliable companion during walks, gardening, skiing, around a cozy crackling fire or…. out on the water perhaps?

100% DUTCH WOOL

The Jan Merino is made of a blend of 80% Dutch sheep wool, and 20% Dutch alpaca wool. The Alpaca adds to the softness. With a thickness of 26 micron, the pullover is not as soft as our regular Joes but has a bolder look.

Onderhoud merinowol

Door de antibacteriële eigenschappen van merinowol gaat je Joe lang mee zonder te wassen. Vaak is een nachtje uithangen al genoeg om hem de volgende dag weer fris aan te kunnen!

Toch raden wij aan om je Joe af en toe te wassen. Dat kan eenvoudig en gemakkelijk op het wolwasprogramma in de wasmachine (max 30°, max 600 rpm). Let op: was deze trui niet alleen, maar met andere wollen producten. Door het gewicht en het lage toerental kan de trui, wanneer deze alleen wordt gewassen, niet de benodigde omwentelingen maken. Hierdoor komt hij kletsnat uit de wasmachine en duurt het erg lang voordat hij droog is.
